According to foreign news reports recently, among the five types of dishwashers surveyed by the center, if they are used to clean the tableware used by six people for a meal, the water consumption of the most water-saving dishwasher is 11.2 liters, and the water consumption of the most water consuming model is 21.8 liters. The average water consumption of 10 people washing the same amount of tableware by hand through the monitor is 66.6 liters.

The survey also shows that if the costs of gas, electricity, detergent and mechanical depreciation are included, the average cost of washing tableware by dishwasher using standard washing procedures is 2-3 yuan, while the cost of washing tableware by hand is 3.2 yuan.
